Babies and Children

It is quite common for babies to experience some problems in the early days of their lives, if they have experienced a traumatic birth, usually associated with instrumental and assisted deliveries. Babies heads in particular can come under immense pressure during these times, and often can benefit greatly from post-birth gentle osteopathy. This can help them sleep and feed much better and enable them to be more settled, calmer and contented.

In older babies and young children, issues such as constipation, neck pain or problems with gait or foot alignment can be drastically improved with as little as one treatment.

Maintenance Treatments

We will always endeavour to try and understand why your problem exists and if possible, remove the cause. Sometimes however, it may not be possible to remove the cause, for example if you have a manual job which includes repetitive processes you may suffer with repetitive strain injuries after a while. Those people in sedentary jobs including office workers and people who drive for long periods of time, often experience pain in their lower backs, hips and necks. Regular routine treatments as a form of maintenance for the body along with specific advice and management can really improve these symptoms and reduce the risk of future flare ups. Just as you would service and MOT your car, it's important to treat the body in the same way. The more you look after it, the less problems it should cause you.
